Speak Up & Make a Difference

Why is Advocacy Important?

Advocacy means standing up for better mental health care, fighting stigma, and making sure people living with mental illness are treated with dignity and respect. At NAMI Richland County, we believe everyone has the power to make a difference.

When you speak out, whether it’s sharing your story, contacting lawmakers, or joining a local effort, you help build a stronger, more compassionate system of support. Advocacy creates change in policies, improves access to care, and brings hope to families in our community.

You can help us advocate!
