About NAMI

The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)  is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. NAMI workers and volunteers combine their passion and heart for mental illness across the country to advocate for access to services, treatment, research and is steadfast in its commitment to raise awareness and build a community of hope for all of those in need. NAMI Richland County is the local affiliate of the NAMI, started by co-founders Darlene Reed & Mary Kay Pierce.
