NAMI on Campus is a student-led mental health organization at OSU Mansfield and North Central State College that brings peer support, awareness, and education to college campuses. Open to all OSU and NCSC students, NAMI on Campus creates a supportive community for those living with mental health conditions, as well as allies who want to make a difference. We have monthly events, peer-led discussions, and awareness campaigns to reduce stigma and foster understanding.

By connecting with others in a safe, supportive environment, students gain tools to manage their mental health, support their peers, and advocate for change on campus. NAMI on Campus encourages open dialogue, mutual support, and a sense of belonging. It’s a space to be heard, to learn, and to grow—together.

NAMI on Campus will help you:

  • Build a supportive network of peers

  • Learn to recognize and respond to mental health challenges

  • Find your voice through advocacy and education

  • Reduce stigma through storytelling and community outreach

  • Access resources and tools for managing stress and wellness

  • Realize you are not alone—and never have to be

Minds Connect

Minds Connect is a youth-centered mental health awareness program designed to educate, empower, and connect young people. Through interactive activities, honest conversations, and engaging presentations, we work directly with schools and youth organizations to break down stigma, build resilience, and promote mental wellness. Whether it’s a classroom session, a school-wide event, or a small group activity, Minds Connect creates a safe space for students to explore mental health topics and support one another.

By participating in Minds Connect, students gain practical tools for emotional well-being, learn how to support their peers, and discover that it's okay to ask for help. The program encourages openness, empathy, and connection - all essential for building a healthier, more supportive school culture.

Minds Connect help sstudents:

  • Recognize signs of stress, anxiety, and other mental health challenges

  • Learn healthy coping skills and self-care strategies

  • Understand how and when to reach out for help

  • Support friends and reduce stigma through peer connection

  • Know they are not alone—and that their mental health matters
