NAMI Info

NAMI Richland County is the local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, started by co-founders Darlene Reed & Mary Kay Pierce. NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. 

We educate, advocate, listen, and lead. NAMI workers and volunteers combine their passion and heart for mental illness across the country to advocate for access to services, treatment, research and is steadfast in its commitment to raise awareness and build a community of hope for all of those in need.

NAMI Richland County is the local NAMI affiliate. We serve Richland County, offering free educational programs such as Family-to-Family and Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training, as well as support groups for individuals with mental illness, their families and caregivers.

 

Who we are

Aubrie hall, mha

Aubrie Hall is the Executive Director of NAMI Richland County. She graduated with her bachelor’s from OSU in 2010 and completed her Master’s in Healthcare Administration in 2021. Aubrie comes to us with a wealth of experience, previously serving as a victim's advocate and Director of Victim's Services with the Richland County Prosecuting Attorney's office. Aubrie has helped many individuals navigate their way through the Richland County court system and provided resources to assist victims in recovery. Upon leaving the Prosecuting Attorney's office, Aubrie set to work and helped develop the Youth Sexual Assault Program and Support Group at Safe Haven's Rape Crisis and Domestic Violence Shelter in Ashland, Ohio. The support group offered peer to peer coaching, art therapy, and equestrienne therapy trips. Prior to joining NAMI, Aubrie worked at OhioHealth Mansfield and Shelby Hospitals where she assisted in large scale project management, physician and leadership coaching, and patient centered process improvement.


Rachel Hilson, MCJ

Rachel earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in criminal Justice from The Ohio State University. For the past ten years, Rachel has worked in the criminal justice and mental health related fields. Rachel enjoys being out in the Richland County community interacting with others. She is an avid advocate and loves working hands on to connect individuals with local resources. In her spare time, Rachel enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and fur-kids. We are excited to have Rachel join our team in helping us educate the community and reach another level of mental health awareness.

Rachel is our Adult Program advocate and assists the Executive Director with the Crisis Intervention Team trainings, Family Support Groups, Family-to-Family classes, Inpatient Support Group, daily advocacy efforts, and health & career fairs.


Marley Adams

Marley obtained her associate’s degree in human and social work services from North Central State College and is currently working toward her bachelor’s degree in social work from The Ohio State University. Marley’s passion lies in working with children and advocating for their needs as well as supporting their families. Marley shares, “I can’t wait to provide as much support as possible to these youth and families who are in need of services regarding mental health.” Marley looks forward to making connections within the Richland County community and is eager to see the youth program grow.

Marley is our Youth Program Advocate and assists the Executive Director with NAMI on Campus activities, Ending the Silence presentations, NAMI core programs for parents and youth, youth volunteer management, health & career fairs, and assist in creating our new adventure, NAMI Youth After School Programming. NAMI Richland County is hard at work to assist all ages in our community.


Megan Davidson

Megan is a mother of two and wife of 12 years who resides in Shelby, Ohio. Megan currently attends The Ohio State University Mansfield, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a. goal of focusing on Cognitive Psychology or Developmental Psychology. Megan’s passion lies in advocating for individuals and their families who have been affected by mental illness and believes it is imperative to support our youth in their fight for tomorrow. Megan believes that ‘by planting seeds of hope early on with the youth and young adults in our community, we can grow a strong community of beautiful and prosperous individuals who know and understand that they matter and that they have a community of support behind them.’

Megan is an intern with NAMI-RC and assists our Youth Program Advocate with NAMI on Campus activities, Ending the Silence presentations, NAMI core programs for parents and youth, youth volunteer management, health & career fairs, and assist with creating our new adventure, NAMI Youth After School Programming. NAMI Richland County is hard at work to assist all ages in our community.

Morsette Bernard

Morsette is obtaining her master’s degree in social work with a focus in mental health and substance use from The Ohio State University. Morsette is passionate about helping individuals and ending the stigma that surrounds mental health! Morsette shares, “NAMI is the perfect organization for promoting mental wellbeing and ending the stigma surrounding mental illness. I knew NAMI was the perfect fit for me because they are so passionate in all they do!” We are excited to have Morsette join our team in helping us educate the community and responding to crisis calls in the office.

Morsette is a NAMI-RC intern and assists our Adult Program Advocate with Family Support Groups, Family-to-Family classes, Inpatient Support Group, daily advocacy efforts, and health & career fairs. NAMI Richland County is hard at work to assist all ages in our community.
