Fall Updates from NAMI Richland County: New Spaces and Community Support
Hello friends,
Wishing you a happy fall from NAMI Richland County! We have so much to catch up on from our office move to new programs, and we’re so excited to share what’s ahead with you.
We Moved

This season marks a big step forward for us. NAMI Richland County entered a new chapter at 2131 Park Ave W, Suite 200, Ontario, OH.
This new space creates more opportunities for in-house support groups, classes, and one-on-one support. It also provides easier access for community members to find the resources they need.
Benefits of our new space include:
RTA bus route accessible
A safe and welcoming location for evening meetings
Plenty of parking for groups, classes, and events

Thank You, Pioneer

Of course, this transformation would not have been possible without the help of our friends at Pioneer. A huge thank-you to their students for taking out our old reception desk. Their hard work made room for a new vision: a welcoming space for support groups and community connection.

With the space cleared, we’re ready for the next chapter. We’re excited to introduce our Support Circle Campaign, a fundraising effort to transform our main area into a warm, inviting, and truly inclusive environment for support groups.
We believe that a space dedicated to comfort and connection is fundamental to the healing and growth of every person who walks through our doors.
Your donation will help us:
Replace old uneven flooring with a fresh, clean foundation
Add comfortable furniture for a cozy and relaxed atmosphere
Install a coffee and tea bar to encourage connection and community
Enhance the space with soft lighting and thoughtful decor to create a calming and inclusive feel
By supporting the Support Circle Campaign, you are not just funding a renovation. You are helping build a sanctuary for healing, connection, and hope. Together, we can create a space where every person feels seen, heard, and supported.
Program Spotlight: Rooted in Motherhood

While our building has been changing, our programs are growing too.
Rooted in Motherhood began this past August as NAMI Richland County’s first perinatal support group.
According to the Maternal Mental Health Leadership Alliance, 1 in 5 mothers are impacted by maternal mental health conditions, and 75% remain untreated. Mothers deserve a safe place to connect and find support during pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenting.
The group is led by Megan Davidson, our Care Navigator, who brings compassion and experience to every session. Megan walks alongside moms, offering emotional support, connecting them with resources, and simply being someone to talk to.
Rooted in Motherhood offers a warm, judgment-free space to build connections, share experiences, and receive encouragement. Even those outside this stage of life can help spread the word so moms in our community know they don’t have to walk this journey alone.
This group meets once a month at Arbor Creek Gardens and Floral in the cafe area. To see upcoming themes and dates, visit our Facebook Events page or click here.
Support Group Calendar
We have a full lineup of in-person and virtual support groups running through the end of the year. Take a look at our calendar below to find meeting dates from September through December.

Thanks for catching up with us! We’re so grateful to have such a supportive community, and we can’t wait to see what the rest of fall brings.
